
David is a prolific organist and an accomplished composer. He is sub-organist at Bristol Cathedral as well as a PhD student in composition at the University. His performing experience is wide-reaching and he was Organ Scholar at Queen’s College Oxford and at Gloucester Cathedral, before giving recitals in many of Europe’s cathedrals as well as recording CDs which have achieved critical acclaim. His compositions have been broadcast nationally as well as recorded, including a Wells Cathedral Choir disc which was Editor’s Choice in Gramaphone magazine. He has even performed as ‘stunt organist’ in the BBC TV series Doctor Who!
David has taught on the Lifelong Learning programme at the University of Bristol both as part of the Ways Into Music tutor team and giving historical lectures. He has gained many fans for his depth of knowledge and absorbing presentations.
