
Jonathan James is a freelance music educator and conductor, having most recently been Director of Music and Head of Performing Arts at the South West Academy of Dramatic Arts. As a conductor he has freelanced in London, Europe and the States and is currently the regular conductor for Bristol's professional chamber orchestra, the 'Bristol Ensemble'.
He is a talented communicator and has developed a reputation for enthusiastic, engaging seminars, giving talks on music in various venues throughout the UK, in Boston US, and even in the Middle East. In Bristol he is the regular pre-concert speaker for the Henleaze concert society and for the International concert season at the Colston Hall.
