Are you looking for a way into music? This course, which is open to everyone, provides a grounding in all academic musical disciplines and could be your stepping stone to a degree in music if that’s where you want to go. With a relaxed and supportive seminar-based approach, Ways Into Music allows students to study different genres of music as well as some set works. In a year you’ll cover: critical listening, harmony and composition, and study skills such as essay writing. Who knows where it could lead you?

Because of the level of commitment required for this course you will need to fill in a separate application form and you may be required to do a short interview.

Pre-requisite: Students should have Grade 5 theory or equivalent. If you are unsure of your own level, please call us on 0117 230 2380. If you have no knowledge of theory you should do our course Grades 1-5 Theory this year, and Ways Into Music next year.
