Spend a day singing your favourite soul classics as we explore the rich musical heritage of Motown Records through song. Experienced vocal coach Jo Sercombe will introduce you to soul melodies and rhythms, singing backing harmonies, and vocal techniques that help to create that magic Motown sound. You’re bound to find some of your favourites amongst tracks by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Diana Ross and the Supremes and Aretha Franklin. This is an ideal beginner workshop run in a group-singing format. There’s no need to be able to read music notation and all levels of vocal experience welcome.

Tea and coffee will be provided free of charge and lunch is also available

Entry to St Monica is via a security-code controlled door. This door will be manned from 9:40am, before which time you will not be able to enter the building. Please do not arrive before this time. Thank you.
