Day Event
Saturday 30th October 2010
10.00am - 4.00pm
Venue: St Monica Trust, Westbury-on-Trym
Marvin Gaye was an iconic American singer/songwriter in the 60s and 70s and his output signifies the development of black music from raw rhythm and blues, through sophisticated soul to the political awareness of the early 70's. With songs such as Ain’t No Mountain High Enough and Heard it Through the Grapevine, we’ll explore soul melody shapes and rhythms and backing harmony singing, which is bound to be a lot of fun all round!
Suitable for male and female voices, some harmony singing experience is advisable but you don’t need to be able to read music notation.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided free of charge
All courses at St Monica Trust take place in the Main Hall. For a 10am start, the security-controlled doors will open at 9:40am. Please do not arrive prior to this.
